Development of Building Energy Performance Benchmark for Hospitals

نویسندگان

چکیده

The energy consumption of existing buildings depends on their physical features, climatic conditions, and business activities, such as operating hours occupancy characteristics. It is necessary to perform a fair assessment building performance considering the activities. has become especially collect manage information activities in hospitals since operate continuously throughout year, treating patients using various medical equipment. This study aimed develop benchmark that considers assessments developed benchmark. Initially, data from for assessing developing an were identified. Then, survey items regarding designed, was conducted at 48 general hospitals. Secondly, multiple linear regression used identify normalize major affecting use assessment. Thereafter, Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), result comparing actual with benchmark, index Thirdly, additional surveyed validate EER calculated Use Intensity (EUI) reviewed, analysis performed why some had similar EUI but different EER. Finally, method improve presented, improved model compared model.

Development of financial performance benchmark of Ministry of Public Health’s hospitals in Thailand

Materials and methods A literature review was performed for selected indicators of benchmarking. This study used secondary data (financial statements) to identify industry standards for hospitals. Data on hospital expenditures of public hospitals were categorised into 5 groups (input mix), which included salary, compensation, drugs, material supply and other expenses. In addition, selected fina...

Development of Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) Building Performance Models for Building Energy Design

The discrete event system specification (DEVS) is a formalism for describing simulation models in a modular fashion. In this study, it is exploited by forming submodels that allow different professions involved in the building design process to work independently to create an integrated model. These submodels are the building, the HVAC system, and the occupant. In this study, a coupled DEVS bui...

Simulating building energy performance for comparison with measured performance

1 The contributions of the simulation paper are 1. A definition and list of simulation approximations and a mechanism to identify performance problems from differences between measured and simulated data. 2. Specific evidence of limitations of whole-building simulation tools (in particular EnergyPlus) for use to simulate actual operating conditions. Gaps: Previous research only mentions project...
